What’s a House Concert?
A house concert is exactly what it sounds like: a get-together of friends in your living room, deck, or garden, with live music, and often food, drinks, and conversation.
I don't have a big house. Can I still host a concert?
Yes! The cozier the better. You don't need a gigantic living room or one of those houses on the Fresh Prince of Bel-air :)
Can I book you at my church, coffeehouse, or gallery instead?
Yes but we like crowded living rooms or smaller rooms in general.
Does it cost money to host a house concert?
Yes, it does cost you some up front money but you can make it back by taking donations from the people that come. We typically recommend a tip-bucket with a $10-20 recommended tip.
Other than money, what else do I need?
It depends, you might need access to some sound equipment. (we will let you know)
You will want to provide food and drinks for the guests - treat it like a party.
Are you ok having strangers in your house?
This is usually a homeowner's primary concern. They're interested in hosting something but don't want it to be listed as a public event. No problem. Simply keep the Facebook invite private. Usually we stick a generic "Private House Concert" listing on my calendar page. If you'd rather keep it a closed event, then no problem.
Is the band staying with me overnight?
This is your call. We typically do enjoy having you be the host-home for the day but if you would rather not that is ok too, we just need to know up front.
How Do I Plan this thing?
Glad you asked….
What is the best ways to invite people?
Create an email invitiation.
we like this website for this - https://www.paperlesspost.com/
you could also use - http://www.evite.com/
*Note: if 30 people RSVP, 30 people aren’t coming. Expect less than half of your RSVP’s. So if you want 50 people there, try to get 100 RSVP’s.

About The Band:
Brothers Cameron & Chandler Wood combine an indie folk and ambient rock style with soaring vocals to make up the Jackson, Mississippi-based worship outfit, Seeker & Servant. Their two projects, 2015’s “You Alone Forever” and 2014’s “Into Your Love, I Go” have gained the duo an underground following and garnered interest from Relevant Magazine, Noisetrade, Worship Leader Magazine, Brite Revolution, and more. Their music is worshipful and vulnerable - it speaks to the struggles that everyone faces on this journey of faith.
